After two years of shoulder pain from an injury—plus two rounds of injections and multiple PT visits—I decided to try chiropractic care at Fremont Spine & Wellness after finding them on Google. I completed 12 consistent visits with Dr. Walton and Dr. Rivera‑Ortiz, and they not only treated my shoulder pain but also corrected the tilt in my neck and the forward slope of my collarbone that contributed to my rotator cuff injury.
My arm now reaches higher and moble better, the pain has significantly decreased, and I’m finally sleeping better. I have two weeks left in my treatment plan, and I’m even considering continuing with Wellness Care—assuming I can stay patient with the 45‑minute drive each way!

I walked into Fremont Spine & Wellness in September 2024 convinced my neck pain was caused by my pillow.

Spoiler, it was not the pillow.
My neck was basically living its own independent life outside the alignment of the rest of my body.

Enter two rounds of corrective care and my new daily ritual, quality time with the Denneroll (We begrudgingly became very close 😂). I have now been in the wellness maintenance phase since May 2025.

I won’t pretend this was effortless. It took consistency and commitment. But after corrective care my neck is actually corrected. The pain is gone, my sleep is better, and I no longer wake up with the nagging feeling of “I slept wrong.”

The best part is the team. I genuinely have fun every time I go in. Kylie is amazing, and both Dr. Walton and Dr. Rivera-Ortiz take incredible care of you while making a long term plan feel manageable instead of intimidating. You feel taken care of but also accountable.

I also love the Chiropractic BioPhysics approach because you can literally see your progress. I attached my before and after posture photos and did not realize how far forward my head was sitting until it wasn’t anymore. The photos speak for themselves, how stunning is my side profile now? Having measurable proof makes it much easier to stay motivated on the hard days.

Recently I leveled up my care even more by adding monthly massages with their resident massage therapist Traci and it has taken everything to the next level. She is amazing and you really see the best results when muscular relaxation is combined with skeletal alignment.

If you are looking for a quick temporary fix this probably is not the place. But if you actually want to understand your body, put in the work, and see real change, this team will walk with you the whole way.

It took effort but the results are real and completely worth it. One of the best long term decisions I’ve made for my health and honestly my neck, my sleep, and my side profile photos all agree. Turns out fixing the problem beats buying 12 different pillows 😊.

Fremont Spine and Wellness is the Best! I started going in 2022 when I had an onset of sharp hip and low back pain that wouldn't relent for 2 weeks. I made an appointment thanks to a positive recommendation of a close friend and I'm glad I did. Not only did they help resolve the pain I was having, but also helped me to understand and resolve the underlying issue that led to my hip and low back pain. Through a combination of x-rays, adjustments, and tailored PT exercises, Fremont Spine and Wellness has a holistic approach to spine health, focusing on the overall alignment and stability of your spine. Dr. Walton and their team are very knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and accommodating, I have never had an issue rescheduling an appt when needed. After finishing my treatments, I moved into wellness care, which I have kept up with for many years. I have no complaints, I come in every other week for some light adjustments which help to keep me in balance. I would highly recommend, and often do to friends and co-workers, chiropractic care as part of your healthcare routine and Fremont Spine and Wellness is definitely the place to go.

FPW has been life changing for me. Before coming here, I had restricted range of motion with my neck, chronic pain from head, neck, shoulders and numbness in my hands and now after 3 months, almost all my symptoms have resolved. What I love about this method of chiropractic care is the thorough evaluation including biophysics: home care, PT included on top of adjustments. Dr. Rivera is always positive and attentive to care. I trust her with my son's care as well! I highly recommend them. I do wish it was a bit more affordable and a little pricey as a single parent.

Fremont Spine and Wellness is a fantastic chiropractic provider! The entire team who works here are committed to making sure every office visit is pleasant and positive. The treatment plan has been long - by design specific to me - to treat my long standing chronic back and neck pain.

I have been receiving chiropractic care from the Team for the last 4 months and the results have completely exceeded expectations. A combination of office visits w/exercises, and home therapy w/exercises finally have my body back on the right track.

Please be aware this is a holistic investment in your body getting to its best state. This is not a quick fix solution. The approach at Fremont Spine and Wellness is evidence based - x-rays and measurements monthly - to inform the overall treatment plan. Treatment solution doesn't happen overnight, it requires your commitment, time and patience. I've gained back significant flexibility and movement, my posture has greatly improved and my chronic pain has been significantly reduced and/or eliminated. Most importantly, my overall wellness has greatly improved as a result - because I no longer want to stab people in the eye with a hot fork on the daily. So that's a big win.

I just received 4 weeks of treatment at Fremont Spine and Wellness for back pain due to advanced scoliosis. In my evaluation appointment, Dr. Walton said my best option was a ScoliBrace and referred me to a clinic where I could get such a brace. Because of insurance issues and cost, I decided to first try a 4-week course of treatment at the Fremont clinic. The people who work at the Fremont Clinic are wonderful. Every single person I dealt with from the doctor to the care coordinator to the rehab specialist to the doctor who did my adjustments was proactive, informative, kind, and extremely capable. In the end, because my condition is so advanced, I need to pursue the brace option, but I'm so grateful for the caring and excellent treatment I received at Fremont Spine and Wellness.

I am a bit of skeptic generally when it comes to holistic medicine. My previous experiences has shown to only provide me short term relief with me returning back to baseline. However, with this rehabilitation strategy that Dr. Walton and his team provide, my daily pain has been minimized significantly. I don’t know if I will ever be perfect, but the plan they gave me on to reduce my pain and strengthen my muscles so my body stays aligned has been wonderful. Even when I come in with a misalignment, it never feels like the agony I was in from when I first started. I am much more comfortable now and mobile with my daily life because of their regimen. It also helps that the scheduling is generally pretty flexible and you don’t have to wait for 40 minutes for an adjustment. You can be in and out after completing all your exercises in 20 minutes and move on with your day. This was another concern I generally had with any medical office is the long waits for minimal time spent with the patient. However, Fremont spine and wellness manages to balance an excellent efficiency and workflow to equally service all patients and help them be and feel seen. They provide excellent and tailored care to all their patients and the team is warm, welcoming, and wants to know you personally.

I didn't realize how forward my neck was until I received my first exam, pictures and radiographs. I noticed tingling and numbness on my right shoulder/mid back area, and did not realize that it could've been due to my poor posture and slouching shoulders. Shane and Kayla have established an impressive practice with excellent care and great staff. Have been to many Chiros over the years and appreciate that Shane took the time to understand my needs and build a thorough treatment plan. Dr Walton and team have a systematic approach and utilize data in the form of x-rays with computer assisted alignment trackers to 1) guide them on the treatment and 2) ensure they're adding value. The system at Fremont Spine + Wellness has improved my conditions (neck, back, shoulder, and hip flexor pain and tightness) so that I am in less discomfort and overall feel healthier. Their space is pleasant to visit while stretching, exercising, shaking and getting an adjustment.

I started going there ~8 months ago. I am pretty active and swim a lot but I could no longer even do a flip turn my back hurt so much and getting in and out of the pool was a process. I had been trying for a while to heal but a lot of people would recommend swimming and I couldn't do that (at least not like I wanted). They are around the corner from my work so I went 3 times a week at first. I honestly did not do much of the at-home care besides what I already did. After ~4 months, I could hop in and out of the pool like nothing. I have been able to drop down to once a week and then once every other week. I feel great. That first step, calling, is the tricky one because no one tells you (or at least no one told me) to go see a chiropractor and you are not totally sure what is happening but ... I can't argue with results. Everyone's results are different and everyone's timelines are different. I feel so much better and am increasing my exercise levels and am much happier. If you are hurting ... give them a shot.

I love Fremont Spine and Wellness! I came to them after having long covid and being mostly bed bound for a year. My flexibility was poor, I had a lot of headaches and back pain and was exhausted. After being treated, I feel like a whole new person. My body is pain free and moving well. Not only that but the staff and drs are so kind and caring. It is a highlight of my day to drop in for my adjustment.

All of the staff here are super helpful and friendly. The billing has been straight-forward and has worked with my insurance. And best of all, the program I have been on has been working! I can feel that my back is stronger and I have been experiencing less headaches, backaches and tingling in my hand that were all due to my poor posture. Dr. Walton is very knowledgable and can tell when my body is in alignment and where I need to be adjusted when it is not. Always feel great leaving my weekly appointments!

I started my chiropractor wellness journey in may 2024 and I can just say that in 2 months of treatments I have seen phenomenal improvements not only in my neck/back but also to my overall health in general. I was very familiar with the chiropractor practice before and use it for the past 7 years to treat neck, hip and spine misalignment, however, the approach that Fremont Spine and Wellness takes is very different from any other practice I have been to. First of all, there is an element of education that the team emphasize throughout the whole journey, to help the patient understand what is their current state and conditions before determine the treatment plan. In 7 years of chiropractics I have never had an x-ray to check if the treatment was actually working for me and I was making enough progresses. With the X-ray, dr Shane has been able to identify a subluxation of my spine and determine the best path forward for my recovery.
Key for the success of this program has not only been the regular adjustments I was getting in the studio but also the consistency on the home program I have been given.

I started at Fremont Spine + Wellness back in April and wanted to get evaluated regarding my neck and mid back. After going over x-rays, Dr. Shane Walton created a plan for me in order to help correct my neck and back. Everyone in the office made me feel comfortable as soon as I walk in the door. The in office exercises and home care kit has really helped me maintain my health. I have more mobility in my neck and less strain in my mid back. Even though I had to stop with my appointments/adjustments they made sure that I knew to continue my home care and that I am welcome back anytime I’m ready. I came in due to TOS symptoms and was tired of being uncomfortable all the time. I can feel my posture improving and I can notice more when I'm falling into a bad posture habit. My TOS symptoms are not as frequent as before and I am impressed with all the changes so far.
